LDOA combo
Got bored so I deleted all but one character and started new ones in presearing. What secondary profession would work best with ranger for attempting LDOA and why?

/warrior, frenzy. Stuff dies quicker. You're already pretty much invincable as a ranger so might aswell bring more damage.

This too.
And you'll be death-leveling 90% of the time anyway, so I don't see why it matters much. (I've seen single-professions with LDoA, too).

well, u want to make sure that u don't actually accept a secondary class quest reward making ur 2ndary permanent. as a ranger, ur the best primary for LDOA. long range attacks. can get a max bow bonus item. +30 armor vs. ele dmg. troll ungent heal. so u can do it with any 2ndary

Can only get frenzy in pre as warrior primary. same with other skills that primaries get first. W/R is fun, using ranger skills with str att and frenzy. Mesmers and eles can clear bosses at low lvls and using walls.

If you plan to stay in pre, I'd suggest keeping your options open and not committing to a secondary class.
For charr hunting as a ranger, I'd go with (uncommitted) mesmer. Ether feast is a good self heal for 5 energy, even with 0 inspiration.

Covah, I believe Secondary Warriors can get Frenzy in Pre as well.
Warrior's Challenge is a quest that you get from Duke Barradin in Pre-Searing. Yes, it does require you to be a Warrior, (Wiki doesn't state whether that is Primary or Secondary). Warrior Primaries can get it from the quest Warrior Test right outside of Ascalon City, so I'm pretty sure that a Secondary Warrior can get it from Warrior's Challenge.
However, if the OP is going to save all of the quests for getting from lvl 19 to lvl 20 (recommended), this is a moot point, as they won't want to commit to a secondary before that point.
to OP:
My one suggestion would be to level up to lvl 10 and then Death-level a charmable pet. This way you can get a lvl 15 Dire-evolution pet that will deal more damage and help you kill Charr faster. I did this on a Perma-Pre character that I had (Warrior/uncommited Ranger) and it was well worth the time.
